Just got the Shapeway mounts for my Beyer CK930's...and now need a new shockmount to go with them. Curious what works well.
I currently have the eBay Schoeps knockoff shockmount. Problem is that the diameter of the cradle part of the mount is about 20.5mm. The Shapeways mounts are 20mm, so I guess I need something close to that (or a bit smaller if it can stretch a bit).
I was thinking that maybe the Rycote InVision INV-HG mkIII would be nice because it stretches from 19mm - 34mm. My concern with that (if you look at the photo) is that cables coming out of the back of the mics might hit the actual "shock" part of the mount.
Anyone have any suggestions. I'd prefer not to go with something like the Schoeps because I've had issues with the cradle come unattached from the little elastic bands when travelling.
I have the 3 available mounts (DIN, DIN-A and ORTF).

No link for the mount I have. Hopefully ya'll know what I'm talking about. They are everywhere.

Some of them are best with the Shure A35M.

I use one with a shapeways din bar for the km140's and no issues. even if the "shock"part bends/flexs a little it's fine. best shock I've ever used.

just clicked on the link for your mounts. the "issue" you are worried about only happens with my full body din mount. I also have one for my active ak40's and it doesn't do it.

They're on ebay and there are two different sizes so make sure you get the one with the thread size you want.

The low profile base is worth every penny! The difference is amazing!
Ditto making sure to get whatever thread size works for your setup!

thanks for the info on the using the lyre and mount. i have been using one of these: https://tinyurl.com/ybvzncp3 which has worked fine but always looking for different setups!
-
Ive used those, and once you get your hands on the rycotes youl eonder why you ever used the others!

More similar to the Shure than the Rycote- I've been using the Audix SMT19 with the Shapeways mounts. 19 mm with a lot of "give", especially if you put a couple of cuts in the outer rubber ring. You can sometimes find them on ebay @2 for $39.00
