I just purchased a used Fisher 500TX with a problem. The radio tuning knob turns freely but the dial cord and pointer doesn't move. I removed the metal cover and found the dial cord wound tightly along its path and it appears to be fine. I tried coaxing it gently, while rotating the tuning knob, but the dial cord won't budge and the pointer is stuck at 92 FM. Does anyone have any tips on how I can free it so I'll be able to tune the dial?
