Hello - I have a VERY basic JB3 question.....
« on: March 13, 2005, 05:59:27 PM »
Hello

I bought a JB3 and I charged the battery for the first time and was listening to it today.  The battery ran down after a few hours of playing, is recharging it as simple as hooking the adapter back into the player?

I did that about half an hour ago, but i'm not getting any kind of 'battery charging' message on the screen.  Am I doing it right?

Look in the bottom left hand corner. You should see a little lightingbolt thinggy flashing. That means its charging. I think you have to shut it off to get it to charge, but I could be wrong...

This is a great place to start for simple 'manual' questions, just a tip.  They have all the old drivers/firmware and a real good set of reviews and F.A.Q. for the newbie in all of us.  Welcome aboard!

Over the weekend I ran into a panic with my new JB3 and firmware updates.  It was running an older 1.11 (or so) version...I will spare you the details, but I was trying to get all the firmware updates possible for the JB3.  I tried to download the firmware of older versions (pre 1.40) and the 1.32 and 1.20 files could not be found on the server.  Not that it matters because 1.4 is the choice of firmware but their archive of firmware doesn't seem to be fully complete.  Just a little side note.

I have spent a few hours over the weekend at the nomadness site getting a lot of "how-to" information; a really great resource to have actually.  I had no idea how much there was to learn about the Creative products :).
