Post by: peterjcm5 on December 31, 2018, 04:31:17 PM
What is a fair price for a 2 year old used Sony PCM M-10 w/ all accessories but no box?  Thanks.

Judging by recent posts in the yard sale somewhere in the $250-300 depending on condition.

That seems a bit high.  I got just the recorder and remote off Ebay for $180. If you can be patient, I've seen boxed with accessories for 200 -225.  Prices do seem to fluctuate some.

When I was looking a few months ago, prices were between 250-300.

It may be worth looking into the new A10 though.

Sound about right. I would say 250-300 is the going rate I've seen on here, but it's possible to get one for less. It's just a highly coveted recorder so it's gonna go for more than others.

I just sold a never used new in box m10 for $275 plus shipping, which I thought to be fair, its what I paid for it about a year ago. Used or beat up I'd say $180-$220 or so.

FWIW, the Roland R-05 was selling used for very high amounts ($300-$500) during the period that there were no more new ones and prior to the release (which did not have much lead time by way of announcement) of the R-07. Prices plummeted to much more realistic numbers $100- $200 after the release of the R-07. Not sure if the A-10 will do the same but if waiting is an option prices should drop once there is an acknowledged new model. Not that unusual considering the laws of supply and demand which go more toward determining value than anything else.

this. If kindms didn't own one and lets me borrow it I'd offer $250 if never/rarely used esp with all accessories (no box); $200ish if it shows signs of wear.
Also, IMO the A-10 is not a "direct" replacement (feature wise).

Rocksuitcase,
I am curious about how you see the difference between the A10 and M10-do you think the A10 is an upgrade or not as good as the M10?
