Title: Stellavox microphone recommendation
Post by: 3Fates on March 20, 2014, 08:57:38 PM
Newbie here .... no live taping yet ... careful with the darts guys  ;D ....

Which current market microphones will work with a Stellavox SP7 reel-to-reel tape deck? I would like to record piano, strings, small ensembles at home. Would any of the Rode mics be the ticket? If not, try to keep it under $500. Ideally would like to keep it simple. Thanks in advance.

HOLY SHIT BATMAN

Ah never heard of one but it looks like a work of art...if it has P48 Phantom Power go to the Yard Sale (http://taperssection.com/index.php?topic=166980.0) and pick up those $550 AKG CK61/C460b Pair...

IMHO stay away from the small diameter Rode microphones...
