Hello,a year after buying new mics I finally have a way to clip these little bad boys on me..im going to td banknorth garden in boston for a show thats in the round..im in the 1st row in the upper section.which mic would be a better fit for this spot? Do they both have advantages/disadvantages? Scott

IMO - The omnis have no advantage in an upper level of an arena. Every time I've brought omnis into an indoor venue bigger than a theater I've been disappointed with the results.

Absolutely cards in that situation, since you're going to want to cut out not just the crowd around you, but all the room echo off the interior of the arena.

generally speaking when you are further away cards are what you want. But if you are trying to capture more of the room sound a closer apromation to what you hear then omnis can also be nice.
