excellent comparison of the networks different HDTV broadcasts since the networks were all using the same camera feed from CSPAN...

This was really a much better comparison if you were watching OTA.  Watching via cable or satellite would've added additional compression that those providers use, degrading the signal.

I watched OTA and compared all the feeds in my area.  The differences were very subtle (except for Fox, who only broadcast in widescreen SD, not HD), but CBS had the best picture, with ABC having the best audio.

i just put it on ABC (OTA) and left it at that. didn't even think to do a comparo.
