Anybody w/ Sony SVP/SVO-5600/5800 XP

Hey anybody out their with expeirence with the Sony SVP/SVO 5600/5800 series.
 
When I playback VHS tapes I am getting a 20-30  line or so black and white section at the top - Any ideas on the cause?
