Topic: AKG ck8 windscreen opinions wanted

So, I finally got a 2nd ck8 capsule so I am now on the hunt for some windscreens for both indoor/outdoor use.  I had a few ideas on what route to go and whether I should get regular foam windscreens + dead rat screens, or just get these Movo ones here: http://tinyurl.com/gnuprkm

Was thinking of also just making some dead rat style furs for the foam screens instead of buying separate dedicated dead-rat style screens.

I believe the length of the AKG ck8 capsule is 8.5-9 inches(22cm), and 20mm wide.

What route should I go?  Or maybe some other idea/product I haven't thought of yet? What say you?

I would be tempted to try to Movo offering over a foam windscreen. I used these for the jvc (nak clone) short shotguns.

Not a bad price. I DBL checked the 30 cm length, that would probably be perfect for ck8's on a pre-amp body. I measured the ck8 at about 22cm, and with a 460/480 body, the other 8cm should fit just snug.

ya, i figured i would only need the 22cm one, because i still need space to have the shockmount holding the body and only the need the wind protection over the capsule portion.

when I got them they are slightly loose and will fall off if pointed slightly downward. but, they work for mu purposes of using them indoors and having the furry Movos for outdoor use

probably gonna go with those Movos for more gusty/blustery outdoor days
