Been having some problems lately with my AKG set up in particular...I have been doing a bunch of 4 channel stuff lately and have been obviously utilizing the mic in connection on the 2d as well as the line in for running 2 pair. My AKG set up has been running really hot, like -2db hot in some instances when i use the mic in connection. I have fixed this by padding the mics themselves down to the -10db setting which does help level wise but I feel it wreaks havoc on the sound quality of the end product. The tiny box gain is usually on low or mid, with the 2d gain set to low all the time. Should I run the hotter AKG set up into the line in connection and leave the mics at linear? I think this may solve my problem, I just havent had the opportunity to get out and test it. I havent noticed levels like this with my CA-14>PIPsqueak>2d set up running mic in at all, just my AKG set up. Any help would be appreciated as always. Thanks for reading!
