Fostex DC-R302 - Pics
« on: December 24, 2014, 11:53:10 PM »
So I bit on the Fostex DC-R302 because I wanted a all in one mixer/recorder and it was "Metal" construction, got it today and I like it a lot, as you can see in the pics it takes up about the same space as the MP-2/Mixpre, It feels very solid like the Sound Devices stuff does, hooking up the tekkeon to it the dc plug is a nice snug fit. It took a couple minutes to go through the menu but its pretty easy. I think this will make a great unit with the Nak CM300's when I get out for open taping opportunities.

Cool!  You scored the one on eBay?  I almost pulled the trigger myself.  Nice Job.  Looking forward to your recordings Robb.  Thanks for these pictures too.

;D ...he came down more than I thought he would, plus I had a 10.00 off coupon and 8% promo kickback on ebay bucks so it became a really really good deal, plus it came with the carry case which is a 50.00 extra. Can't wait to run it.

Could you run it with the SD MP-2 out in front.... before you sell that?  Maybe share that sample here?  Its a combo I certainly will run when I own one.  So jealous.  I can't wait to hear what it sounds like.

Congrats again.  That's a nice Xmas present for a taper.  :)

Very nice.  With all the talk circulating on this Fostex deck, it will be cool to hear about actual real-world use of it.  Looking forward to your feedback and recordings with this device after you give it a spin, darktrain.
