If you need it quick and don't have access to an electronics supply, I use Radio Shack as an emergency source.

We just got a Harbor Freight in town. I'll have to check it out. Thanks!

And I used to order it from Parts Express. They have that good 3:1 ratio heatshrink that I prefer! Does anyone know if HF has the 3:1 stuff? Or just the 2:1 stuff that RS has?

Hey I didn't know Home Depot carries it!  Is it available in small quantities and is it located in the electrical aisle?

Bean, where's the Harbor Freight?  Might swing by next time I'm out your way.

Yep small packs in electrical, should be located in the same area as zip ties and other small connectors, at least it is in the store I work at

Yep, right here in WashPA :) It's right next to Home Depot actually ;) I'm going to both places after my dentist appointment in a few hours. I'll give you a txt and let you know what they have. I want to get some for my NBob KCY. Whichever one I end up keeping 8) I'm fine with the one I have now, but since you gave me the option to choose, my ocd is making me check out the other one that you have lol ;)

Need a few more cable ties too. I like the ones that Lowe's sells, but I'll probably just grab them at HF or HD today :) I'm sure we'll be taping together this weekend Steve, so I can't wait to finally do a few comps, since I have a VMS now too. And your psp3 has dual outputs :)

Instead of heat skinking your kcy have Robb build a right angle jumper cable.  I did this and it works great and no strain relief worries.

What's a RA jumper?  Is it just a short interconnect with a Binder modded to be a RA on the preamp side and then a regular Binder on the other end?

Exactly!  It isn't a modded binder they make right angle binders.  Sorry I didn't explain it well in my earlier post.  Mine is 6 inches and I leave connected to the preamplifier.  Also easier to connect and disconnect the kcy

Nice.  I didn't know that Binder connectors came in RA!

The female sockets on those pairs seem properly heat shrunk, but I'm not seeing the male connector pins anywhere.

Gotcha, thanks for the idea. I'm talking about my NBob KCy though ;) Its 18" long, and since I don't ever run omnis, and the largest split I ever run is NOS, I wanted the other 9" of my KCY cable>Binder heat shrunk. However, when I did that, I wasn't happy with it at ALL, since Harbor Freight's heatshrink is way too stiff once its dried. I injured myself AND the NBob KCY when trying to remove the heatshrink :P ;D I sent it to Nicky, and he redid the Mogami cabling, put some techflex on the last 9" of cabling to the Binder, put a new Binder plug on, and also some new threads on the Collette's :) So even though I gouged my thumb and fukd up the cable, it ended up getting all brand new parts and some techflex, which I am love with ;) So it worked out better in the end ;D Minus the throbbing thumb for a few days lol 8)
