Title: FM Antenna Connector
Post by: mattmiller on October 08, 2015, 09:44:42 AM
Some girls at work inquired about improving their FM radio reception in their interior office.  It was fine until we had some lighting upgrades done.  Now, the little 4-foot-long wire they had pinned to the wall isn't getting the job done.  I'd like to try a longer antenna, attached to the screw in the overhead vent.  Perhaps the ductwork will help the signal.  But this isn't my area of expertise, and I can't figure out what this antenna connector is.  Anybody want to point me to a source to buy a longer wire antenna with this connector?

Here's a close-up.

The connector pictured in my first post was yanked from out of that FM jack.  Whether it was supposed to be, I don't know.  I was inspecting the connection when one of the girls said "Here, it comes off" and yanked it out.

With that in mind, what is the best option?

Thanks for your assistance.

Great, thanks.  I just ordered the same one on Amazon.

I have this exact same connector on the back of my Pioneer 5.1 receiver and also had no idea on what type of connector it was.

This thread helped but the part needed for my application was one of these --> www.ebay.com/itm/141834448700

So thanks for posting as it is helping others!
