how to take .cue sheet & wav file back to individual tracks?
« on: December 30, 2014, 03:45:14 PM »
hey kids...

back when i was new to the art of proper archiving, i borrowed some cdr's and ripped them as a .cue sheet with an associated wav file.  im curious if there's a way to use the cue sheet to somehow 'extract'/get the wav file back to the individual tracks?  i think @ that time my intention was to archive to cdr, so burning the .cue file would be an easy task.  my head is spinning on this one!

Load the wav, then the cue file.
Hit save

You may have to use a text editor (notepad) and edit the path to the WAV file...

There's a cool trick you can do in CDWave to avoid this. Load the wave, then open the cue sheet (I drag and drop the cue sheet to the CDWave editor window; unsure if this works using the menu) and choose to NOT open the associated WAV. This will apply the track splits to the currently opened file, regardless if it's the same file name or path specified in the cue sheet.
