Better localization than other b-format decoders, but it does horizontal only.
The full featured plugin is over 500 pounds, but there is a free decoder.

I'll have to dig into their tech a bit to see how they manage the increased directionality beyond 1st order and the ability to introduce time based spacing, things outside the realm of the standard spherical harmonics matrix math ambisonics is based on AFAIK.  Pretty cool advance if it works. I don't see a technical reason it should be limited to horizontal only, though I and presumably most others only use that aspect anyway at this point

It was a decision by the developer to reduce time/cost. From retracing through email on this (on sursound) it appears that he will add height if there is the interest in it. The focus was to produce something that would appeal to most users. And most have horizontal speaker setups only. BTW, the playback is limited to 8 speakers.

The headphone output includes height.
