This is gonna sound stupid, but how do I import a second file into the same audacity screen?
drag & drop works too, as well as copy/paste from another session...

Thanks...I was hitting open for the second file instead of importing. Then drag and drop and get rid of the black line. I think my computer literacy has jumped to that of a four year old.  which is a vast improvement.

You could also use AddAWav, the fastest tool for this job.

It's no longer available online, but was graciously supplied to me by another member here (sorry I can't remember who).  See attached ZIP.
