What is a good MP3 Player
« on: September 23, 2016, 12:19:31 PM »
Any suggestions on a good MP3 player that can be used to download "our" recorded concerts?  Make and Model would also help?

I'd look for a 5.5g version.  Many ways to add more gb's.  Mine is 417gb.  I use it with my sound bar for my bedroom TV and I think it sounds amazing.
A lot of people run a race to see who is the fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

I have two Rockboxed Sansa Clip+ units. One for studio stuff, one for live stuff. Plays both FLAC and MP3, and AIFF. 4-8GB internal memory, but expandable up to a 32GB microSD. Easy to plug in via USB and move folders from PC to the Clip+. I use them on a daily basis and they have both held up for 3+ years. Not sure about current prices but they aren't expensive.

I use my BlackBerry 8530 Curve right now, so I just use the built in Music Player and I can add MicroSDHC cards! I have a 32gb MicroSDHC card in there right now! I'll probably upgrade to a 64gb M-SDHC Card if my BlackBerry will work with it :)

However, if I had the $$ to put into a new Music Player right now, Id probably go with a FiiO x3/x5 and add 2 big microSD cards

+1.
Very useful too as a (mono) recording tool for lectures, conferences, etc. with the manual recording level provided by Rockbox.

I currently use a Fiio X3 2nd edition with a 128G card.  Had the previous X3 as well.  Gave my daughter an X1.  Sound great and are priced reasonably.  My successor to my IPod Classic.

I went from an ancient iPod to the Fiio X5 ii.  Twin 128 gb micro SD cards.  Small.  Can drive my Sennheiser 600 without an additional amp (I don't play at head-banger levels.) FLACing a bunch of stuff, and aside my my external backup, will be the central repository for all my live, non-commercially-released recordings.  You can fit a ton of music into this rig.
