Some of you may find this interesting. We tested about $30k worth of mics head to head. The material is classical, but should provide a good way for you to hear how some very fine mics compare to each other. Mics included AEA r88 stereo ribbon(via AEA trip), akg c426, Schoeps CMC64s, cmc62s, cmc621s, Sennheiser mkh30s in ms, Samar 373a active stereo ribbon mic, and royer sf12 (via AEA ribbon mic preamp), all routed to a pair of synced metric halo ULN-8s.
