I'm sure the cables are made with Starquad as advertised.  Canare makes the raw/bulk starquad cabling, tecnec is using that stock to make and sell mic cables using starquad and neutrik connectors.

A great place to get starquad mic cables is from Ed at kindkables.com

I've seen Ed's cables from kindkables and they are really nicely constructed.  No idea on the tecnec stuff, but it could be a good cable, the price seems very good.  But remember it's $77 for the pair vs $23 apiece, plus some of the more expensive ones probably use upgraded neutrik connectors.  You should also double-check exactly what starquad the tecnec's are using.  There's the regular starquad and a smaller, low-profile starquad that isn't quite as nice.  You can look up the exact part numbers for the different starquads on canare's website.

tecnec is the pro division of markertek, they make their own cables and sell them from both outlets, probably using starquad private labeled or cable stock from the same manufacturer.  markertek is cheap, tecnec is cheaper, if you have an account.

markertek will do fine, but ed's are made by hand by a taper, custom.  so, you can specify length, color(maybe), ends, straight/ra, etc.  also, give ed a call and explain what you rigs is and what you have in the way of cables.  he can come up with a plan, and possibly work a package out for you which may be cheaper in the long run.

I can say this - I used to work at a college and we ordered many tecnec (canare) cables from markertek - they were al supposed to be 25ft, and they were all diffferent lengths

yes, and quite thicker.  many have sold them for being to stiff and bulky, especially when trying to slim down a rig.

the stage cable has a larger and stronger core, making it a little more durable, but seemingly a little more ungainly in the field.  the studio replaces the size of the core with the size of the cable.  stage is 24awg, studio is 22awg

ftp://ftp.mogami-wire.co.jp/pub/mit/catalog.pdf

check this for balanced vs unbalanced info.  pretty cool page
