I run the mod 460's, as does recordista. Lot's of studio engineers run them. But there's not many of us tapers running them...yet. As Recordista said, the difference is not a subtle one. IMO they don't sound anything like stock 460's. If you own 460's (or are thinking of getting them) they should be modified. It's the most worthwhile investment you could make for your rig. As far as being able to run the CKx caps, I'm not quite sure what you're asking. I have and use ck61's, 62's, 63's, and ck8's.
