Topic: Mounting Shure sm57's

Hello all - I regularly record in a local club. I have been using a pair of Audio Technica 853's. I have attached a picture of my current setup. I would like to switch over to a pair of Shure 57's and am seeking ideas of how I might replicate this setup. Thank you!

I like the homemade setup.  For 2 full size mics, I would install a table base mount and use a Shure Vertical T-bar, or a short gooseneck and a different t-bar.

Hi Pwig,
It is nice to have permanent mics mount in a local club. Why do you want to switch from electret mics AT to dynamic mics Shure? Dynamic mics have lower output and EDIT: SM57 has not good high and low(for distant recording)  frequency respose and probably polar pattern is not good for stereo recording too . For your application are the best electret or small diaphragm condenser mics. I am courious, how far are the mics from the podium? Is there PA too?
Maybe if it is possible, try to put mics more far from ceiling construction to avoid unwanted reflections.

T bar hanging from something like dgodwin posted, throw in a pair of clips and, bang, you're done. 57s are just dandy and bonus... if one ever eats shit and hits the ground 10:1 chance it's absolutely fine.

My thought is that you may need to wind up with a pair of shock mounts if you get too much sympathetic noise if you hard mount them but hell, I think I got my shocks for $50 or so.
