Title: Broken connection in mps6030 (DPA BB)
Post by: divamum on July 05, 2011, 11:22:15 PM
Hi y'all.   Long time no  post!  ~waves~

The red wire on the battery connector of my DPA bb pulled free when I was installing a fresh battery - I gather it's an easy part to get from Radioshack and an easy DIY fix to replace it by attaching the fresh connector as per the original wires, but I can't get the housing of the box open to get at it!!  I removed the two housing screws, but the faceplate (where the mics attach) seems to be holding it in place still. Is there a trick to separating the two halves?

Alternatively, is it ok simply  to splice the new wires onto the old ones with tape so I don't have to go into the innards at all?

All assistance gratefully received - I really need to use this thing this week!

Thanks in advance....
