anyone know the 9200's battery life? and is it 9v batteries?

The 9200 draws about 10mA I am going to do a actual test in the next month or so that will show how long it will last under load. My guess is about 40 hours. My suggestion is to use MAHA 9.6 Volt 300 mAh battery or the new 500mAh batteries that seem to be around now.

When I ran battery tests for my old 9100, I got around 75 hours ;) 9v Energizer MAX
