Anybody run a Canon HF R20 (or similar) camcorder off a USB battery? The AC adapter CA-110A is 5.3V/1.5A. The connector is C-shaped thing and I've been unable to find out what it is called, I would consider hacking the cable with new connectors and likewise a USB cable. How hard is it to deal with the individual wires in a USB cable?
The connector:

I saw a hacked r300 once, it worked for the person but looked like crap. That connector is hard wired to the wall plug, not like yours pictured.
Point is it can be done.
The issue I have with mine is that the batteries don't lock in tight and if you shack the camera for example the battery migh lose contact and turn off so having an external power supply would be great in that regard too.
Ps, what is it called?

Any idea how long it took to get from China?

I know it fits in the camera, but I haven't actually powered the camera via usb. I only recently found the cable in my stuff again last week while looking for another cable. Not even sure where the cable is at the moment.
It has been over a year since I bought the cable, but I don't recall having any issues with delivery. I don't think it took long for it to arrive in the US.

Thanks, I'm going to order one of those cables.

Thanks
I'll pick up this too.
Run right from my use battery up my stand to the camera.
I can get like 9 hrs on my battery running the dr-60d so even adding the camera the the chain should still get through a show without issue

Got my two cables today, hope to test them tomorrow and will report back.
In the mean time I am going to order a six foot, maybe nine, extension cable which I will gaff tape at the connection so I can run up my stand/tripod.
