Title: Milab and Pearl reunited after 40 years!
Post by: Mattias_Milab on November 22, 2017, 05:58:05 AM
I am very pleased to announce that the two Swedish microphone manufacturers Milab and Pearl have been reunited. The pre-decessor, PML, was founded in Stockholm, Sweden in 1941, but was split into two separate companies, Milab and Pearl, in the late seventies. On Nov 1st of this year, Milab acquired all the shares in Pearl which means that the companies have been brought back together after almost 40 years of separation.

The plan is to merge the two production units early next year, but both Milab and Pearl will still be treated as two separate brands on the market.

I have attached the press release as a PDF.

Maybe we can finally get a Blumlein / MS stereo mic based on ELM-B capsules...
