Too many. F8, MixPre6 on the way, M10, D50, and a "borrowed" R-44.

I really don't need the D50, but I feel like the value has fallen to the point that I'd rather keep it than sell it for basically nothing.
Mics: Schoeps MK4V, MK41V, MK5, MK22> CMC6, KCY 250/5, KC5, NBob; MBHO MBP603/KA200N, AT 3031, DPA 4061 w/ d:vice, Naiant X-X, AT 853c, shotgun, Nak300
Pres/Power: Aerco MP2, tinybox v2  [KCY], CA-UBB

If by "deck" you mean a portable recorder:-

1)  Nakamichi 550 (cassette)
2)  HHB 1 PRO (DAT)
3)  Olympus LS-10 (SD cards)
4)  Olympus LS-20  (SD cards with video recorder)
5)  Nagra SD (SD cards)
6)  Nagra VI
7)  AETA 4MinX

I use the Nagra VI and SD mostly - the SD if I have to travel light and I also have the Nagra EMP to connect to the SD's line-in for more important recordings with external condenser mics.

Tapehead: 4 M-10's and 4 DR-2ds??  What is the purpose of that?  Not judging, just curious why so many.

I have three M10s at this point — picked up a second to do matrixes, then a third because they were going out of stock and I knew I'd want a replacement eventually if one of the others bit the dust. (Also I use them to do interviews for work, so it's nice to be able to leave one there while the others are safely at home.)

Also an iRiver H320 that now mostly gets use as an mp3 player if that, and some Sony Minidisc deck of unremembered vintage that only comes out of the drawer if I stumble across an old disc I never transferred.

I think I still have the Sony cassette deck somewhere that I used for recording a few shows in the '80s, if that counts...

Zoom F4 (if the DR-70D could gang level adjustment of all channels together I wouldn't have gotten the F4 and would be content with the DR-70D)
Tascam DR-70D (probably going to sell this once I get comfortable with the F4)
Roland R-05 (love this thing...bummed they're apparently not making it anymore)
Sony D-6 (currently not working...need to get it fixed so I can transfer some cassette masters)

Tapehead: 4 M-10's and 4 DR-2ds??  What is the purpose of that?  Not judging, just curious why so many.

I have multiple decks because I patch out of multiple soundboards at several local festivals in order to record multiple stages.  I prefer the Sony M10 for this when possible.  Of course, when I get home after a 3/stage, 2/day festival with about 50GB of audio files, I tend to regret the whole thing
Normal: Nakamichi CM-700's >> SD 744T (or) Sony PCM-M10
Normal: Crown CM-700's >> SD 302 >> SD 744T
Fun times: 3 Crown CM-700's >> SD 302 >> SD744T + 2 Nakamichi CM-700's >> SD744T
Stealth: CA-14c >> CA 9200 >> Edirol R-09HR
Ultra stealth: AudioReality >> AudioReality battery box >> Edirol R-09HR

Hi!

Let's see:

Sony and Sharp Minidiscs

Sony MZ-RH1 HI-MD which works like a charm - It still is the smallest, lightest and quietest rig that I own. Can't get why they don't make a microSD version in the same form factor, there's plenty of room in there if they take the mechanics out.

Zoom H2 (the first version) - too bad its self-noise is so high

Tascam HDP2 - has rust on its XLR connections and in the battery compartiment, knobs are noisy when adjusting gain and the plastic cover of the screen fell off :)) but the sound is still very good!

Olympus LS100 - higher noise floor than I had hoped, aimed at the musician more than the sound designer

Sony PCM-D50 - a bit fuzzy and bass-thin, but still the best portable recorder I own.

Sound Devices 744T - workhorse. Bulit like a tank.

And field mixers Sound Devices 302 and 422 - which ARE little tanks.

That just about sums it up for the moment.

Planning to get a Tascam DR100MKiii and Sound Devices 10T in the near future, but what I'm really hoping for is a 788T-SSD
