Hello. first time, long time. I've been recording with Church Audio Cardiod Croakie mics into a Mac compatible Sony MZM-100 for the past two years. It's the best size for sound quality device on the market, unless you can spare four grand for the baby sonosax fr-82. The new range of Sony Hi-Md's are Apple compatible and an Apple compliant version of SonicStage is all you need to get going. I am very satisfied with the MZM-100. To me, it's just as good as all the "name brand" recorders, excluding the Sound Devices products, that are on "another level." Good Luck
