first off these are higher capacity 6600 vs 6000.

the main reason I've stuck with the genuine because of quality - read too many posts and even had one generic have the little female ends that the pins go into come out while swapping. for me the extra $20 is well worth the piece of mind (and the extra 600 mAh)

agreed.

i had some of the cheaper ones and one wouldnt charge, the other had the pins slide out just as mentioned.
Cascade was cool and exchanged, but it was a royal PITA.

with all the thousands we spend on gear, what's another 20 bucks to be sure we have solid power that we know wont fail on us at the wrong time...

FWIW I believe Frank no longer deals with the generic ones anymore because of QC issues (correct me if I'm wrong)

i have been buying supposedly 6800mah ones but they last just about the same as the 6000 generic ones and also are the same physical size as the 6000mah ones, so therefor i think the 6800mah ones are really 6000mah ones

are your 6600mah ones physically bigger than the 6000mah ones ???

is there a nice charger that tells the mah capacity ???

really?

looks like im not buying anymore cheapie ones then, SS sent me a generic 6000mah one and i bought a 6800 generic one and the stock one that came w/ my 722 is a 4600mah one, and it also seems to be generic, so if SD is sending generic ones, dont you think theyre good enough?

i agree w/ you tho, after spending 2400 on the 722, whats 20 more dollars per battery?

also, what charger are ya'll using? just the 722?

i have a lenmar duo charger that teddy sent me w/ the portabrace purchase that charges two at a time, the 722 charger and  the charger SS sent me w/ the 722, i believe its a generic charger as well

have you two been unplugging/replugging the the 722 back in once its charged? it seems to charge for another 20 minutes ort so topping the bigger batteries off when using the 722 to charge them

FWIW I believe Frank no longer deals with the generic ones anymore because of QC issues (correct me if I'm wrong)

i haven't held a generic and genuine sony side by side but I borrowed a couple generics that Ian had for Wakarusa and I think they were slightly smaller than my 6600 ones.

you just gotta keep checking ebay, i've scored 2 or 3 off of ebay now and they were all around 45-60 shipped. a lot of people will do a high shipping charge so their item appears to sell for cheaper. i don't think ebay takes a cut of shipping charges either.

Wireless short range file transfer (lots of cell phones have it now).  It's slow though, not feasible for stuff like this - I was kidding.   ;)

im sure you're on top of it bean - but double check on where the company is located or where they are shipping from - there seems to be a ot of sellers with these batteries based in Honk Kong or other parts of China
