M-Audio Audio Buddy Battery Pack?

Is there any way to build a pack for this? It takes a 9V AC input power and I'm not sure how to do this.... is this a good preamp/phantom power unit for a budget wise newbie? Currently I have an Artcessories Phantom II with line transformers and I don't think it will cut it.

Hmmm, yeah, that would work, and I could power my JB3 off the same SLA. That will be my summer project I guess... anybody heard good things about the Audio Buddy?
