Bypassing the Zoom H4n preamps?
« on: January 08, 2011, 01:53:39 PM »
Hey guys. Does anyone know if it's possible to bypass the microphone preamps on the Zoom H4n? From what I can tell, using the XLR inputs there isn't any way to do this..but what about using the TRS inputs? If I took AT853's that are terminated into a miniplug, plugged them into a SP battery box, then used a 1/8" to dual TRS adapter going into the H4n, would I be able to use these inputs as just a simple Line In?

Thanks
