SOLZ- Solar backpack & battery
« on: January 30, 2013, 02:28:44 PM »
An acquaintance of mine started this company.  Just saw they offer two items of interest, a backpack and what appears to be a Tekkeon/DVD-like battery it can charge:

Assuming it could meet our gear's power requirements, could be very useful for fests, etc.

I wonder if you can use the battery while its charged via the solar panels?
Its unclear from this writeup.  At first it seems not, but then a later paragraph makes it unclear.

Bag is a little pricey, but it sounds like a great idea for Fests.

The panels only provide 4.5 w which isn't very much.

Good idea to keep your phone topped off but not a rig running at a festie
