Topic: Stock UA5 Q?

Anyone run a stock UA5? I have seen them on ebay for cheap and would venture to do the digi mod myself but then forfit the w-mod. Any experience with the stock UA5? Any samples? Thanks. I was getting  aDMIC but the seller dropped off the face opf the earth.

was not happy with mine till i got it warm modded.  sounded kinda flat and dry.

I think it sounds pretty damn good considering the price point, but YMMV.

I use the stock one, did the digi-mod myself.....

I think it makes great tapes!, at least fo rmy ears

In all honesty though, I just taped at the Magnoliafest with my buddies w-modded UA-5, and I really liked the results with it.  I had no problem switching back to mine for Panic and Mule though......

My advice is, if you have the money, go for the Oade unit, if not, don't
