Topic: ADK A-51TL any good w/V3?

I have heard some chatter about the ADK TL mics. Are they that good of a LD mic for that price? Anyone run this through V3? Sound nice??

I am in the market for new mics and have hear good things about the TL's for the $. Should I wait and save for the SKM-140's instead like I really wanted, or are these mics up to par with the 140's sonic wise??

Switchable patterns are nice, but the KM-100's have removable caps as well. Also, low profile taping is also where I want to head. Problem is that the SKM-140's are pretty spendy......

I run TL>V3 and love it.  Definitely not small, so if size is a concern save for those skm140's.  I ran the 140s for a few years before switching to tlm170s then adding the TL's.  I really don't think the 140's have anything over the TL's except size.

I would get the TL's run them for a while. If you want to get the 140's sell off the TL's. Its been a buyers market lately in yard sale but the TL's are very hot right now I doubt you would loose more then $50 on the deal. Its great to try out different gear. I own a pair of tl's and think they are great

Ok - good feedback folks thanks! Sounds like those who have run the TL's w/V3 really like them.

BUT now I have been teased with another combo...... if you HAD the $ would the Gefell SMS2000 with the M200's or M210's be a better choice with the V3?    

Keep in mind that I really don't want to run LD mics due to the size of those puppies, the silver color (stands our like a sore thumb) and having to carry more crap around (TL's will not fit into my Nova 4 bag and will require ANOTHER bag to carry).

I have a chance to purchse some Gefells for a chunk of change more, but as I said size DOES matter to me - hee hee
