Gratuitous Stack of Pre's/Bag Question
« on: September 09, 2012, 05:37:24 PM »
Thanks to the YS, and an itchy wallet finger, I've added the MiniMe & MinMP to the rig over the last year.  God forbid one of the Sound Devices on my list show up for sale soon :-)

I haven't found the perfect bag for carrying a single Apogee, my r-44, and wally's.  I have a cheap Quantaray photo bag that works great for the R-44 and the V3 on stilts.  Unfortunately, the Apogee's are a little too big for what I have.  I've seen some backpacks, and some pictures of people using wired shelving of some sort to encase the Apogee's.  Most of the posts I've seen are pretty old (as are the Apogee's), however, and the few bags I have tried to Google don't seem to be in production anymore.  So, has anyone went shopping for a bag to carry their MiniME/MiniMP recently?  Is there such a thing as "stilts" for the Apogee's?

Thanks!

Id vote for the Mountainsmith Day bag. Its been a while but I remember the Mini Me fitting great. It will fit in the Cairn as well but thats tight

I used a LowePro D650AW for a while and made stilts for the MiniMe.

The 650 is just tall enough with stilts; lots of room
Now I mostly use a Portabrace PC2 Production case with diy shelving.
It's BIG.
