Measurements from the tip on the AC adapter
.215x.110x.375 aka 7/32x7/64x3/8
using my handy monkeypeter conversion chart closest is
5.5x2.8x9.5

not near my adaptaplug tips so can't give you which size it is according to the adapataplug size chart (http://support.radioshack.com/support_tutorials/batteries/pwrgde-2H.htm) it takes tip "O"

Thanks!  I also heard from a friend that he used "m" tips with no issues.

I also use the M tip when I used adaptaplug cables*. Not an ideal fit but it does work. I had an old wallwart that had died but did have the correct plug size for the LE so I hacked and spliced the end. I've successfully run the LE with the following external voltages: 6, 7.2, 9, 9.6 and 12; unit still functions so any of those voltages should do no harm. With the internal connection being 6v and the AC adapter supplying 12v I figured it would run on any voltage between and it has with every voltage I've tried.

Just for the record the AC wallwart output is 12v 600mA.

* Use your UA5/DVD batt cable but remember to reverse the polarity.
