Anyone ever tried Microphone Madness new high-end MM-PC-11 and MM-PC-12 mics?

fandelive:
Microphone Madness used to build their high-end st€@1th mics with Sennheiser caps, but those were out of stock for years.

Still taping with their MM-HLSC-1's (MKE caps) and I love them.

They now offer a brand new line of mics including:
* omnis: https://www.microphonemadness.com/mm-pc-11-professionals-choice-dual-lavalier-microphone-omni-directional.html
* cards (actually hyper cards) : https://www.microphonemadness.com/mm-pc-12-professionals-choice-dual-lavalier-microphone-hyper-cardioid.html

Both product descriptions don't mention any manufacturer or model, so I sent them an e-mail with questions about the capsules they were using. Here's the answer (which I can totally understand) I got:

"We do not disclose what we are using in construction of the MM-PC-11 AND MM-PC-12 for competitive reasons.  It is one of our proprietary blends, sorry."

So it seems like we'll have to wait for users testing.

These are really tiny! In your experience, how do the MM mics compare to your AT and DPA mics?

ThePiedPiper:
My buddy Mark uses these are they are AMAZING mics. His previous mics was Sonic Studios and these are equally as good (my opinion better) than the Sonics for a 1/4 of the price. He lent me his MM Hypers, which I have in hand now, and the build quality is exceptional. I'll be using them in 2 weeks and can't wait !!!

Here's some more info on the MM's ...

ThePiedPiper, I noticed that your friend doesn't use a battery/preamp unit.  Is that typical for these mics?

fandelive:
There's another recording made using the MM-PC-11 on Dime currently. It's an amplified performance: http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=614168&page=0#startcomments

When listening to the sample, I can hear brickwalling which most probably means those caps can't handle high SPLs and will need the low sensivity/4.7k mod (if the wiring job allows it to be done).
