Soundforge 8.0 freezes with 24bit audio?
« on: August 15, 2005, 07:33:22 PM »
I tried out my new Firewire 410 this weekend and ran into an interesting problem.  I setup the rig: SBD (RCA Record Out) > Firewire 410 (Mic input 1) > Dell Inspiron 6000 and opened Soundforge 8.0.  Then when I set the recording to 24bit at 96kHz, Soundforge would monitor the input for about 2 minutes, then freeze.  If I immediately started recording it would continue to record without interruption, but if I stopped recording for more than a few minutes SF would freeze.

Anyone know what could be causing this?  I suppose it isn't a huge problem, but I'd rather fix it  ;)
