casio keyboard to computer help
« on: December 15, 2007, 05:13:06 PM »
so i am thinking about picking up a small, inexpensive casio keyboard to create some sound effects for a film project.

i have a couple of questions about the process.

first, since the keyboard has midi in/out, i figured i was able to connect it to the computer with a midi > usb cable that hosa or m-audio makes.  is this true?

second, i currently have sound forge 7.0.  will this program allow me to capture what i play on the keyboard with the above cable?

thanks for any help / suggestions.
