it is a tank, been using sony dgp tapes, 90m also, just sent it off for its 500hours cleaning, and it came back with a clean bill of health, if you buy one used, be careful that it's in good shape.

Thoughts...works great.  Really no negatives about it except that the a/d could be a little better.

Great little deck. Small, easy to power, with durcell ultra's I have gotten 4 hours of recording out of 4 aa's. It's a real work horse if taken care of. Been using mine since 99, yet to have a problem. I use a da-p1 mostly now, but the d8 comes in real handy when I need a smaller deck or need to worry about power at a long fest.
It is company policy never to imply ownership in the event of a dildo - We have to use the indefinite article; "A" dildo, never: "YOUR" dildo.

And isn't sanity really just a one-trick pony anyway? I mean all you get is one trick, rational thinking, but when you're good and crazy, ooh ooh ooh, the sky is the limit!

TRUE DAT, I got close to 20 hours out of a 6 volt ecocharge.
