It's like, how much more ugly could this be? And the answer is none -- none more ugly.

If you pre-order now, they'll include an 8gig SD card.

Now there is a real deal sweetener.

Cantar audio recorders (to be used on a cart) were created by Jean-Piere Beauviala, known for a very famous motion camera, the Aaton, designed to be like a "cat on the shoulder" vs the very un-ergonomic cameras of that time (Eclair, etc.). Then came a new time-code system, then the Cantar and eventually some financial difficulties in 2013.

Beauviala is not only an engineer but someone very concerned with the "esthaetics of cinema". Aaton cameras are used in documentaries and some feature movies.

Beauviala also created a very small camera (in the 70's!), about the size of a SD microphone : the "Paluche" (the "Hand" (r) , in French slang).  I can't find a picture of the original camera.

FWIW.
