Schoeps Nextel grey paint
« on: November 14, 2007, 02:58:22 AM »
Does anyone know if this is commercially available?  Or who makes it, etc?  Looking to match out some stealth accessories I've been building; the bare metal that holds the caps can scratch them over time, coating it with this paint might be nice.

Anyone have any ideas?

thanks, as always.

It's a much different look, but are you familiar with hammertone paint?  It's a spray paint that mimics the hammertone effect and seems to be popular with a lot of DIY audio people.

thanks frank, i'll do some research on it.  i know the "flecktone" stuff, i liked the texture of the schoeps paint b/c it's "soft", and might help save some scratches.  appreciated!

that's where i've heard of it; it's the paint that guitar pedal DIYers use for the boxes...VERY durable, but also VERY hard.
