Tascam DR-05 Recording trouble
« on: April 26, 2013, 10:14:20 PM »
My predicament is, I recorded a DJ set for an international act, that played at a party I organised.
I had the Tascam DR-05 setup fine, levels were coming through, timecode was ticking over, record light was on (Not flashing) and at the end of the show it had 4 hours of recording.
Later that night, I went to listen to the set and FILE ERROR came up.
I then transferred the file to my computer to check the details of the file and it said the size of the file was 0.0
Now the party I ran was the first one with an international DJ and I'm desperate to try and retrieve it somehow.
I had used the recorder 3 times before and not one problem had occurred until now.
Basically i'd like to know if there's anyway myself or a technician (One of those guys who fixes crashed hard drives etc) can somehow retrieve the data.
PLEASE HELP  :'(

The 0-byte file issue is not uncommon.  You can probably recover the file.  Check the Readme1st thread in the Post-Processing and Computers / Internet Devices & Related Activity forum for a few posts on remedies.
