CF problem: "track 0 bad - disk unusable"?
« on: February 27, 2007, 04:38:19 PM »
Anyone ever came across this problem? I've read some very old posts on message boards (circa 1999) that this could mean the hard-drive (CF in this case) was as good as dead. but i've also read that there are tools that could bring floppy disks with a similar problem back to life. that software is way to expensive for me (139$) and i googled for alternatives but no luck...

tried chkdsk, and format (that's when it displays the message on the subject). any option i'm missing?
