Ebay item #4606833664.  100ft, 3 conductor.  A little thicker gauge than you wanted (22ga, not 24).  Also, the wires are silver/teflon, but the shield is tinned copper.  I wouldn't imagine that would matter (who cares how the electrons make it back to the source, it's how they get there that matters).

Other than that, try worldwidewire.  They have a good selection of surplus wire at good prices, though they can be pretty flaky.
Mics: Microtech Gefell m20/m21 (nbob/pfa actives), Line Audio CM3, Church CA-11 cards
Preamp:  none <sniff>
Recorders:  Sound Devices MixPre-6, Sony PCM-M10, Zoom H4nPro

Cool Todd.
I never thought to check ebay motors.

this is what I have been looking at: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7584146502&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

its a little thick, but it would do pretty good, and its local.

Nick didn't say whether this is for ICs or mics..  But it does raise something I have been wondering about..  What sounds better for mics: quad or single pair conductors? Capacitance is generally higher with the quads.  Single pair are supposed to sound better.. But how much?

The big noise threat seems to come from cell phones.  Though I do worry when running cables around a/c power cords (when rigging in the ceiling, using sup power, etc).

It would be interesting to do an audio quality comp, one pair vs. two.

Moving an in-use/ringing cell phone around both pair of cables, as well as some a/c hooked to a dimmer, would probably be a decent rf test.

"eh".
i'm not that all in love with silver clad cable, especialy for playback cables (speaker/ICs..etc).
I think just great OFHC copper is fine and dandy.  but actualy, harder to find.  that millspec silver crap is everywhere, and does make nice mic cables, IMo.

Awesome!  They're near me, about an 1 1/2 hour drive southeast of Syracuse.

It doesn't look like they offer teflon insulated conductors?   Copper or silver, I thought the teflon shield was a key component.

I just talked to Tom at silvercable.  Nice guy.  Their main website is:

www.gigcables.com

The silvercable website is strictly cables.  gigcables has that + a bunch of stuff.
