Title: Tascam Dr-100mkIII doubt
Post by: Dede2002 on July 01, 2018, 10:14:58 AM
Hello everyone. It's good to be back after 4 years! Thanks in advance for your help!.

That's the question. Going SP-CM-8 > 12v  BB> Tascam DR100mkIII Ext In (Line sensitivity selected) just doesn't work at all. Even with the input control knob all the way up (level 12) my recording levels never goes beyond -20 db (jazz quintet, small jazz club, 6 feet from the stage!).

Since Plug In Power is not an option, that’s my plan: SP-CM-8 > 12v BB> Ext In (Mic In sensitivity, Plug In Power OFF and Mic Pad ON).
My only question is whether the 12v load is not harmful to the unit (Mic In sensitivity). Excuse me if I'm saying nonsense.

Thanks!

The battery box DC blocks the 12V going back towards the recorder.

Hey, friend, thanks a lot. So, no problem going that way, right?
