MPS 6030
« on: December 22, 2003, 12:58:14 AM »
Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the DPA MPS 6030 power supply?  I'm looking to power some DPA 4061's and was wondering if this was a good option.  Also who sells these?  Thanks.

It works and is cheaper than the overpriced-as-all-hell HEB setup. Buy it along with the mics themselves from any major gear retailer.
Funny how you don't see people selling these much.

Hey, you might also consider getting the MPS6020 over the 6030.....  The 6030 has a fragile looking 1/8 inch stereo output jack that could get compromised through the normal wear and tear of stealthing. The 6020 has left and right RCA phono outputs that seem much more secure to me (it's what I decided to go with instead of the 6030) .

I use the 6010. I'd recommend RCA over XLR (giant compared to the mics' itty bitty cables and microdot connectors) and weak stereo mini. Yay 6020.
I had my 6010 modded by JK Labs to add a stereo mini output and two switchable bass filters - one for the XLR out and t'other for the stereo mini. I posted the details months ago. Jon put the mini jack on the left or right side of the box. Good location, flawless function.
