Oktava MC-012 example..
« on: January 03, 2004, 05:38:55 PM »
For those inquiring in the other sections how they sound in XY.. prolly not the best example, but I still have the mp3 up on my webspace..

Enemy
12/13/03
Dante's, Portland, OR

Oktava MC-012 -> V3 -> DA-P1

running X/Y, I was about 12-15ft from the RH side mains, kind of off angle to them, so one mic was pointing at the stack, the other stage.

Dante's has become my least favorite place to tape now, if you read my post in the open forum re taping nightmares.. this was the show..

anyway,

heh Ya, I was waiting for someone to say that. I borrowed em from a fellow TS'r, since my AT's weren't in at the time.

I figure since I'm a current Octava user I can bash away at 'em. ;)  I actually really like mine, but they're only a stepping stone until I can afford some AKGs.  Mmm....480s....  :drool:
