Very interesting.  I would hate to know the actual cost of assembling that talent to make the triode.  It wouldn't be cheap.  And did you notice the retro fridge in the background?  That EE is quite the retro guy.  I am guessing it was done at Phillips which is headquartered where the exercise was done: Eindhoven, The Netherlands.

Think they put it into a guitar amp?   :)
