Is a Tascam DR-07 MK II compatible with windows 8 or only windows 7 ? if it isn't, which Tascam hand held audio recorder is compatible with windows 8 ? please help.  thanks

I don't think any of Tascam's recorders will run Windows 8.   ;D  The Tascam HD-P2 was based on Windows CE though.

The serious answer to your question is that if you connect the DR-07 to a Windows 8 PC it will show up as any other USB storage device.  Hope that helps.

What are you trying to do?

I had no trouble with the DR-07 with Windows 7. Windows 8 is suppose to be backwards compatible with Windows 7.
