big ray, why even bother with the 722 if you are going to wind up running a preamp and a adc in front of it?  $2400 for a recorder?  seems like overkill to me, you could get a r4 or something for quite a bit less and run 4 mics if size isn't an issue.  use that extra scratch to buy more shit ;)

I think I have a perfect setup, the only thing I would possibly think about is 4 channel mixer to run my mics into it.
